25,790 people relocated in wake of major earthquakes

Three major earthquakes of magnitude-5.8, 6.0 and 5.2 took place in Caodeng township in Ma'erkang, Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture in Sichuan 12:03 am, 1:28 am and 3:27 am respectively on Friday.
As of 8 am on Friday, 11 earthquakes of magnitude-3.0 and above were monitored, with the epicenter being in Caodeng. One person was injured and no deaths were reported, according to the Department of Emergency Management of Sichuan Province.
After the earthquakes, the Sichuan Provincial Earthquake Relief Headquarters quickly launched a three-level response, and the Department of Emergency Management of Sichuan Province dispatched five emergency rescue teams with a total of 1,314 people to the quake zone.
As of 8:30 am, 40 resettlement sites have been set up in five towns and townships near the epicenter, 13 emergency shelters have been opened and 25,790 people have been relocated, the department said.
