CPPCC plans events to share experiences

The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top political advisory body, will host a series of events for its members to better share China's achievements since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party China in 2012.
The first event was held on Thursday in Beijing with Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, attending the activity and giving a speech.
Wang said the events should be based on the working experience of CPPCC members and carried out in an innovative and creative way to expand coverage and social interest.
Political advisers from different sectors should be encouraged to actively participate in events and made their voices heard, he said.
Five national political advisers gave speeches on topics including the Beidou satellite navigation system, air pollution control and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics during the Thursday event.
