The third Qingdao Multinationals Summit will be held in Qingdao, Shandong province from June 20 to 21, and the opening ceremony will take place on the evening of June 19.

Approved by the State Council, the event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Shandong provincial government, will be held via both online and offline channels. About 800 guests are expected to attend the event offline.

The event will bring together senior managers from multinational companies, leaders of national ministries and commissions, well-known experts and scholars, as well as representatives from international organizations, foreign embassies and consulates in China, and global business associations.

The opening ceremony, closed-door meetings, sub-forums, themed salons, exhibitions, and promotional activities of multinational corporations, the guest province, and cities are among the 38 activities that will take place during this year's event.

In July of last year, the second Qingdao Multinationals Summit was held, bringing together senior executives from 390 of the world's top 500 companies and 517 global industry leaders to discuss the tremendous potential presented by China's new wave of high-level opening-up.

A total of 96 foreign-funded projects amounting to $11.85 billion were inked in last year's event, injecting strong impetus into Shandong's opening-up.
