Endangered cat seen at high altitude

Zhao Xiang, director of the center, said it's the first time images of golden cats have been captured in Nagchu, filling a gap in a city not known for rare species.

"It is also the first time golden cat has been recorded at high-altitude — as high as 4,300 meters above sea level," Zhao said, adding that people used to believe the ideal habitat for the species was low jungles.
