Online exhibition displays works of Sun Yumin in Sydney

Sun Yumin, a Tsinghua University professor, had her 56 Chinese paintings virtually showcased through the China Cultural Center in Sydney on May 4.

As early as 1981, Sun was known for her Make Progress Every Day (Tian Tian Xiang Shang) and rose to fame in 2004 due to the painting Pursuit (Qiu).

Her works cover many themes, including personal and group portraits. Both common and heroic figures can be found in her paintings.

Sun's solo exhibitions have been held in many countries, such as the US and Canada, and her pieces were collected by the National Art Museum of China and the International Olympic Committee.
