China vows to ensure smooth road traffic for COVID-19 response

BEIJING -- China's Ministry of Public Security has ordered improved interprovincial police coordination to ensure smooth road traffic and facilitate the nation's COVID-19 response.
Local public security agencies will step up all-around monitoring of the road network and tackle emergencies in a timely manner, according to the ministry.
The agencies have been asked to work together with other government departments to ensure smooth logistics services and stable industrial and supply chains and guarantee spring farming and the supply of daily necessities, thus boosting economic and social development.
