The Beijing municipal government has published its urban management plan recently for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), raising key targets to improve people's lives under low-carbon scientific concepts.
During the last plan period, Beijing improved its residential communities with multiple measures. Next, the city will continue to increase green and leisure spaces in its communities and set up more public facilities, including kindergartens, canteens, convenience stores and medical care spaces.
To support the increasing number of electric vehicles in the city, Beijing will install 700,000 charging poles by the end of 2025 to ensure that people can reach charging facilities for electric vehicles within 3 kilometers.
