5.1-magnitude quake hits waters off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off southern Taiwan's Pingdong county at 9:47 pm Monday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 21.62 degrees north latitude and 120.97 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 18 km, the CENC said.
