1,500 medical workers from Zhejiang help Shanghai

About 1,500 members of a coronavirus testing support team from Zhejiang province have been working at several testing stations in Shanghai's Pudong district since Monday morning, Jiefang Daily newspaper reported.
The medical personnel are helping to organize the testing of residents to help them battle COVID-19. Testing is expected to take place until April 5.
"Their warmhearted gesture is widely appreciated in Shanghai," a resident of the Pudong district said. "I heard they had breakfast on the bus and started nucleic acid tests as soon as they arrived early in the morning. We are deeply touched by the devotion of these medical workers."
Members of the support team are from seven hospitals in Zhejiang, including Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital, Second Affiliated Hospital of the Zhejiang University School of Medicine and Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine.
On Sunday night, the municipal government announced a new round of testing, beginning in areas east of the Huangpu River, including Pudong New Area, to curb the recent outbreak.
