Plane lands safely in SW China after mechanical failure

A cargo plane of Sichuan Airlines landed safely on Friday afternoon after a minor mechanical problem was found after it took off, according to the company.
The Flight 3U3839 took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 7:43 am and was scheduled to arrive at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport at 9:30 am local time. The crew found a minor mechanical failure after taking off and decided to return for safety reasons.
The aircraft landed back at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 4:07 pm Beijing time, the China National Radio reported.
Sichuan Airlines said the mechanical problem was resolved, the report said.
