FM affirms rights, interests of developing countries in meetings

When meeting with his Nigerien counterpart Hassoumi Massaoudou, Wang said China is willing to strengthen coordination with Niger on multilateral affairs, jointly oppose hegemonism, uphold international equity and justice and safeguard the common interests of both countries and developing countries at large.

China hopes Niger will support the Global Development Initiative to build greater international consensus and speed up the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Wang added.

In response, Massaoudou said Niger firmly supported the GDI and looked forward to deepening friendship between the two countries.
