US sea levels could rise by up to a foot by 2050

Sea levels around the United States are expected to rise by an average of 10 to 12 inches (0.25 to 0.3 meters)  in the next 30 years due to climate change, as much as they did in the entire 20th century, a report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said.
