Riding the wind over snow and ice

At the Dali snow-kiting training center in Ergune, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, enthusiasts from across the country enjoyed the excitement of surfing on ice.

Snow-kiting, or kite skiing, an emerging sport that uses a kite to propel riders as they glide over snow or ice, has become popular in Ergune. It allows participants to cruise over a snow-covered plain, frozen river, lake or even hills. It's challenging and a feast for the eyes.
