"I was shocked when I read the news that the number of COVID-19 cases in Xi'an is rising. I decided to do something for the city," Wang said. "My family was once poor, and we were helped by kind people. My parents told me to help people who are in need."
Wang received support from her parents and husband, as well as from fellow residents who came to help her package and load the vegetables. The town government found a truck to transport the vegetable and completed all the necessary donation procedures.
Wang got a phone call from a staff member in Xi'an on Sunday who expressed thanks for the kindness and told her the cabbages will soon be delivered to people in need.
