Miner lifted out of mine in Shanxi

One miner was lifted out of a coal mine in Xiaoyi, Shanxi province on Friday after being trapped for over 30 hours. Rescue efforts are underway for the other miners.
The mine in Duxigou village flooded at about 11 pm on Wednesday, trapping 21 people underground, the city government said in a statement issued on Thursday. Four others escaped to safety when the accident occurred, it said.
