Most Americans lack strong trust in their military: Russian media

MOSCOW - A recent poll has shown that the majority of US citizens do not have strong confidence in their military, and the trust has largely declined since Joe Biden took office, according to a recent article on RT.
The article presents data from the latest national defense survey conducted by the Ronald Reagan Institute, which shows that only 45 percent of US citizens have a "great deal" of trust in their military.
This figure has dropped in the past three years by 25 percentage points, from 70 percent. In just the past nine months, under the Biden administration, public confidence plunged by a further 11 percentage points, the article said.
The most common reason for the low public confidence in the military was "political leadership". A majority of US citizens surveyed expressed little confidence in the military's ability to win an overseas war and act in a "professional and nonpolitical manner".
