The sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China will be held from Jan 18 to 20, a key Party meeting decided on Monday.

The meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee mapped out priorities for the nation's anti-graft efforts after hearing the work report from the commission, the nation's top anti-graft watchdog.

The meeting called for more coordinated efforts to build a system in which officials dare not, cannot and do not want to engage in acts of corruption.

The meeting called for parallel steps in punishment, deterrence, institutional restrictions and building up moral defenses among officials, saying that greater outcomes at the institutional and governance level must be attained.

The meeting, which reviewed a work regulation of the CCDI, underlined the importance of clarifying the boundaries of power and tightening up the self-control mechanism and strengthening supervision.

It also stressed the need to develop a group of high-quality and professional anti-graft officials.
