The embassy of the United Arab Emirates invited friends of the UAE to join in celebration of the UAE's 50th National Day on Dec 2, 2021.

Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, ambassador of the UAE to China, said, "The United Arab Emirates draws its strength from its adherence to the principles of tolerance and cooperation. Hosting over 200 different nationalities residing and contributing to the society, the UAE is a hospitable country, happy to work with different nations and cultures."

2021 also marks the 37th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UAE and China. At present, China is the UAE's largest trading partner while the UAE is China's largest export market and the largest non-oil trading partner in the Middle East and North Africa, thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative and the UAE-China Strategic Comprehensive Partnership.

Zhai Jun, special envoy of the Chinese government on the Middle East affairs, said, "The UAE has played an important role in maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East and the greater Gulf region, positively contributing to the promotion of world peace and global economic development."
