Recently a video posted by a young girl in Qingdao, East Chinas Shandong province, has gone viral.

The girl in the video, Liu Liwei, is 19 years old. Her mother had a ruptured brain aneurysm last year, causing a subarachnoid hemorrhage. After three craniotomies, her mother survived, but was not fully conscious.

Liu had been living with her mother since her parents divorced. The two depended on each other over the years.

After much deliberation, Liu chose to take a year off from college to take care of her mother and help with her rehabilitation care.

During the year of accompanying her mother, Liu recorded many videos for her. Together, they became more optimistic and stronger. Just when Liu thought that things were getting better, her mother had an epileptic seizure and died.

Liu recalled, "that night, I received and signed a lot of critically ill notice."

"Countless healing acupuncture treatments failed to keep her going," sobbed the girl.

Though her mother had left Liu's life forever, her memories of them being together remain in her videos.

Liu's story had many netizens offering their sympathies and sharing their own stories.

"My mother died when I was 17. I tried everything but I couldn't save her," writes one.

Another says, "My mother got lithiasis, but she still registered for a cold for me at the hospital regardless of her own pain."

"I was afraid that my mom would be sad to see the video of my father before he died, so I could only secretly watch it and cry in my bed," writes one.

Parents are the people who love us most in the world. As we grow up, they are also getting older. Love them while you can and remember companionship is the best gift for them.
