Chinese mainland Olympians to visit HK
A delegation of Chinese mainland Olympians from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will visit Hong Kong from Dec 3 to 5, a spokesman for Hong Kong's Home Affairs Bureau said on Thursday. The delegation will include 29 athletes and three coaches from 12 sports events. The Olympians will attend a reception and banquet hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and visit the Hong Kong Sports Institute to exchange ideas with Hong Kong athletes. Members of the delegation will attend three public events on Dec 4: sports demonstrations by the mainland Olympians at Queen Elizabeth Stadium and Victoria Park Swimming Pool in the morning, and a variety show by the mainland Olympians at the stadium in the afternoon. Tickets for the three events will be available for sale online on Friday. They will also be broadcast live on television.

Former lawmaker pleads guilty to graft
Yu Zhigang, a former member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, pleaded guilty on Thursday at the Shenyang Intermediate People's Court in Liaoning province to taking bribes. Prosecutors said that between 2013 and 2017, Yu had taken advantage of his posts at China University of Political Science and Law to seek benefits for others. In return, he illegally accepted money and gifts worth more than 6.91 million yuan ($1.08 million). Yu expressed remorse in his final statement. The trial was attended by more than 20 people, including legislators, political advisers, and representatives of the media and the public. His sentence will be announced later.
