Book outlining rule of law study published

A book about an outline for studying Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law has been published, Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The book's compilation was co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Office of the Commission for Law-based Governance of the CPC Central Committee. It was published jointly by the People's Publishing House and the Xuexi Publishing House.
In its 13 chapters and more than 70,000 words, the book systematically explains the significance, essence and implementation requirements of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law. It also fully reflects the original contributions of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in the legal field.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the central leadership with Xi Jinping at the core has given strategic status to law-based governance, making arrangements involving the rule of law and implementing duties by the rule of law. It has also raised a series of new ideologies and new strategies on advancing overall law-based governance and formed Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law.
The Thought is based on history and present, domestic and international situations and combines theory with practice. It answers major questions concerning why and how law-based governance should be upheld, representing the latest achievement in adapting Marxist theories on the rule of law to the Chinese context. It's not only a part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, but also a guideline on overall law-based governance for China.
