TEHRAN -- Explosions on Wednesday hit a gas station in the west of Iran's capital and caused a fire, with no injuries reported, state TV said.
The incident occurred at 4:43 pm local time (1313 GMT) in a 50-square-meter unauthorized gas cylinder filling workshop near the city of Karaj, according to an official at the local fire department.
A total of 35 firemen, along with 10 heavy and semi-heavy fire engines, were deployed immediately from eight different stations in the area, and the fire was put under control in about half an hour, he said on condition of anonymity.
