Beijing announces special rules for snow clearing during epidemic
The Beijing government announced a special snow clearing requirement during the COVID-19 epidemic, stating snow piles and drifts should not be transported outside of communities which are under control at present.
During the recent COVID-19 outbreak, several residential communities where confirmed cases were reported in Beijing's Fengtai and Changping districts were under control measures. The residents are required to self-quarantine at home. Some students and teachers in Chaoyang district are under centralized quarantine after a confirmed student case was reported.
According to the requirement, snow in those places should be stored and dealt with in the area.
The government added the city will reduce the usage of snow melt agent for the sake of environmental protection.
