Journalism students learn from veteran lectures
Chinese college students majoring in journalism and communication will draw inspiration from lectures recorded by veteran journalists from the country's major news outlets.
The launching ceremony for the second "China Journalism and Communication Lectures" was held at the Communication University of China in Beijing on Wednesday.
The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and All-China Journalists Association, and hosted by the National Journalism and Communication Discipline Supervisory Committee and the CUC.
Thirty-two journalists from 18 news outlets have recorded the lectures and students majoring in journalism can view the lectures online.
The event, launched last year, invites senior reporters to talk about their careers. A total of 719 journalism and communication schools have included the lectures as part of compulsory courses for students.
