New study finds moderate sleep best for brain

Older adults who sleep less than 5.5 hours or more than 7.5 hours per night have a decline in cognitive performance, according to a new study published Wednesday in the journal Brain. Older people's cognitive performance was stable over time when they slept a moderate amount, roughly 6-7 hours per night.
