Over the past year, wildlife protection personnel have captured valuable video clips of wild animals looking at themselves in mirrors.
The mirror experiments have been conducted in China Tiger and Leopard National Park, which stretches across the provinces of Jilin and Heilongjiang.
Researchers installed several mirrors to attract various wild animals, including Siberian tigers, Amur leopards, sika deer and badgers. Infrared cameras recorded the moments when the animals looked into the mirrors.
In recent years, the ecology of the park has greatly improved, and the number of wild animals continues to increase, officials said.
