Liberia's vice-president lauds China for support to disabled group

Vice-President Jewel H. Taylor of Liberia has lauded the government and people of China for their support to the Group of 77, the largest disabilities group in the country.
Taylor said Liberia and China are strong partners whose bilateral relations continue to move from strength to strength.
She made the statement at a ceremony which marked the handover of anti-COVID-19 material, electronics, clothing and food to Liberia by the People's Republic of China last week in Monrovia.
The Liberian vice-president expressed gratitude to China and termed the items a "worthy gift".
"I want to say thank you to the government and people of China for this worthy gift. Liberia and China are strong partners, and we will continue to work with you for both Liberia-China to succeed," Taylor noted.
She reaffirmed her government commitment to adhering to the one-China policy.
For his part, Chinese Ambassador Ren Yisheng stated the donation is part of China's humanitarian aid to Liberia.
Ren said the anti-COVID-19 medical supplies have gone through the "most" stringent Chinese manufacturing standards.
