Landslide in Sichuan leaves 2 dead, 12 missing

A landslide following heavy rains in Labahe town, Tianquan, a county under the administration of Ya'an, Sichuan province, killed two construction workers and left more than a dozen missing in the early hours of Sunday.
Rescuers rushed to the scene with search dogs and life detectors. Three workers were found alive and two were dead. Another 12 remained missing, the Ya'an municipal government information office said.
Peng Yijiang, a firefighter involved in the rescue operation, said that it had rained all night on Saturday.
Search operations are continuing, said Yu Jinchuan, a leading official of the Ya'an municipal government.
