In the last three years, Gao has taught over 6,000 students across the country.

She purchased their products and then sold them via her live-streaming platform.

Most of their products are headwear, such as headbands and hairpins in various shapes of animals, flowers and fruits.

"Usually each piece needs less than one hour to complete, so they can use their free time according to their own situation," she said. "These small items are very popular among customers of different ages due to the low price and the novel styles."

In 2020, Gao saw sales volume of over 1.5 million yuan ($232,000) and profit reaching 150,000 yuan.

"Some of my students also opened live-streaming accounts to teach others," she said. "We have the same wish, trying our best to help more people."
