Exhibitors and business partners of the fourth China International Import Expo, which will take place from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai, shared their professional insights into the smart supply chain sector and China's carbon goals at a meeting held in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province on Sept 13.

The meeting was held by the special committee for smart supply chain of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance. Formed in 2020, the committee comprises 17 leading companies from the freight, financial consulting, and trading platforms industries, and is focused on bolstering the development of the domestic supply chain by promoting and utilizing new concepts and technologies.

US financial services group Orix, which is the chair of the special committee, launched an initiative at the meeting that calls for the committee to help with China's carbon emission goals.

Representatives of HSBC, Standard Chartered, and Dun & Bradstreet shared their reports on the latest trends in the modern services industry, while exhibitors like E&Y, SGS, and Panasonic analyzed the changes in their sectors brought by China's carbon neutrality efforts.

The Dalian branch of the Bank of China also spoke about policies related to green finance. More than 10 local companies held business talks with exhibitors at the meeting.
