The China-ASEAN Expo has witnessed great changes taking place over the past 18 years in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

From cell phones to smartphones, from laptops to tablets, from cash payment to digital payment, remarkable improvements in areas such as these are shown through the event.

Smart agriculture has improved productivity on the farm and wearable phones have made people's lives more convenient in China and ASEAN countries.

China-ASEAN relations present the most dynamic model of cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. China and ASEAN have moved forward hand in hand with fruitful outcomes in various fields since the establishment of dialogue relations 30 years ago.

China-ASEAN trade has seen robust growth since ties began with an average annual growth rate of bilateral trade reaching 16.5 percent, according to the General Administration of Customs.

The achievements made in the past 18 years send a strong signal that China is committed to working with ASEAN to deepen all-around cooperation to benefit people on both sides and the world, amid continuing joint efforts to build the Belt and Road and forge a higher-level strategic partnership.
