Kerry to visit China for second climate talks ahead of UN conference

United States Climate Envoy John Kerry will visit China from Tuesday to Friday to meet his Chinese counterpart Xie Zhenhua in the lead-up to this year's United Nations climate change conference.
The duo will exchange views in Tianjin over Sino-US climate cooperation and the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Glasgow in the United Kingdom from Oct 31 to Nov 12, according to a media release from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on Tuesday.
It's Kerry's second trip to China this year as US climate envoy. In a visit in April, he and Xie, a veteran of climate diplomacy, discussed the issues.
The two countries issued a joint statement on climate cooperation after the April meeting, vowing to join hands to find solutions to the urgent global crisis.
