To search for better job opportunities, Yasen Mamat and his wife Buwijianeti left their home in a poor village in the south of the Taklimakan Desert and traveled to Urumqi, capital of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The decision proved to be worthwhile, as both of them have found decent employment with satisfactory benefits.
