Canal breach repaired

After six days and five nights of urgent work, including the unloading of the last truck of sand and stone, the more-than-100-meter breach on the bank of a canal in Xinxiang city, Henan province, was finally repaired on Monday. The canal was breached by floods triggered by torrential rainfall last week, threatening tens of thousands of people who live nearby.
