Giant panda You You celebrated his 13th birthday with fans at Yabuli ski resort in Heilongjiang province on Wednesday. It was the male bear's fifth birthday at China's northernmost panda park.
Along with flowers and the "Happy Birthday to You" song, You You received a six-layer birthday cake made of ice, vegetables and fruits. Colorful and nutritious, it included bamboo shoots, grapes and oranges.
He also received a special gift from one of his fans — a handmade octopus toy.
You You and a 15-year-old female panda, Sijia, came to Yabuli in 2016 from Southwest China's Sichuan province.
