US urged to quit provoking mainland after landing military plane in Taiwan

A Chinese mainland spokeswoman on Thursday urged the United States to cease all provocation against the mainland after a US military aircraft landed on the island of Taiwan on Thursday morning.
"We have noted it," Zhu Fenglian, a spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said about the landing. "We are firmly opposed to any form of military interaction between Taiwan and the US, and we will firmly uphold the sovereignty and security of the country."
Zhu urged the US to abide by the provisions of the three Sino-US joint communiques on the Taiwan question and stop all provocative actions.
She also condemned the administration of Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party for colluding with foreign forces to seek "independence" and reject reunification with the mainland.
The DPP has been leading the people of Taiwan to a disastrous outcome, Zhu said.
"Its attempt is bound to fail," she added.
