Highlights of white paper on China's political party system

China's State Council Information Office on Friday issued a white paper titled "China's Political Party System: Cooperation and Consultation," elaborating on the distinctive characteristics and strengths of the country's political party system. Here are the highlights:

- China will learn and draw from the positive experiences of other countries, but will not imitate other political party systems blindly, or impose its own system on any other country. (Read more)

- The system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China is a basic element of China's political framework. (Read more)
