One rescued, five still trapped in China mine

JINAN -- One person has been rescued, and five people are still trapped in a coal mine in East China's Shandong province after a roof collapsed Wednesday night, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident happened at about 11 pm on Wednesday at a coal mine in Weishan county, Jining city, leaving six miners trapped, the emergency management bureau of the county said.
The rescued miner has been taken to hospital for treatment, said the bureau.
Search and rescue efforts are underway.
