Art therapy is gaining wider acceptance these days as a way to ease urbanities' stress and depression.

The Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing recently launched a project to promote the development of art therapy and cultivation of researchers and practitioners in the field.

An Art Therapy Research Center was established, with financial support provided by the Bridging Hope Charity Foundation, aiming to building an international talent pool to gather experts in art therapy, organizing regular seminars, and developing academic frameworks and curriculums for home schooling.
