Conference held promoting Beijing Design Week

The 2021 Beijing Design Week Project Promotional Conference was held on Sunday in Beijing.

The event itself will be held from Sept 23 to Oct 7 in multiple places in Beijing, including the Zhangjiawan Design Town, National Agricultural Exhibition Center and the China Millennium Monument.

According to Wang Yudong, vice director of the design week's organizing committee office, this year's Beijing Design Week is titled "Brand Power", which reflects national economic power, cultural force and innovation power.

"We are committed to bringing professionalized, internationalized, market-oriented and popularized activities, and we are a platform for new top design products," Wang said.

Helsinki is the guest city being featured at the 2021 event.

Jyri Lintunen, press and cultural counselor from the Embassy of Finland to China, said design is in the Finnish people's DNA and is embedded in everything.

"Finland and Helsinki are looking forward to new dialogue and new business with our Chinese friends,"he said.
