Eight dead after factory fire in Shanghai

Eight people, including two firefighters, died in a fire that broke out on Thursday in a factory in Shanghai's Jinshan district, according to a news release by the district information office on Friday.
The fire in the factory of Sheng-Rui Electronic Technology (Shanghai) Co was put out at 6:20 am on Friday.
The authorities said that assessments of the air and water in the surrounding areas showed no abnormalities.
The water used in the fire extinguishing process has been stored and will be treated accordingly.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are currently underway.
