River ice begins to melt in Heilongjiang

As the temperature rises with the coming of spring, the frozen Heilong River in Huma county of Heilongjiang province began to melt.
To prevent ice jams, explosives were set off on three parts of the river totaling 8,400 meters, the most in recent years.
The explosives created spectacular ice cascades dozens of meters tall.
