Pilot, steward banned after midair fight
A pilot has been banned from flying for fighting with a crew member during a flight, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said on Monday. On Feb 20, Donghai Airlines pilot Zhang Dayong and flight attendant Yang Jialin had a dispute which escalated into a fight during a flight from Nantong, Jiangsu province, to Xi'an, Shaanxi province. Zhang's pilot license has been revoked. Jia received administrative punishment. Donghai Airlines said on Monday that the two have been banned from flying for life.
Eight books published to explain Civil Code
A series of eight books to help the public better understand, study and apply China's first Civil Code was published on Monday, Xinhua News Agency reported. The books consist of sections on general provisions, property, contracts, personality rights, marriage and family, inheritance and torts. They explain the code in simple terms and through vivid cases to ensure it can be close to the people, enhance their legal awareness, and lay a strong foundation for rule of law.
