Spring Festival deliveries break record


More than 130 million express deliveries were handled nationwide on the eve of the Spring Festival and the Spring Festival, up 223 percent year-on-year, according to the State Post Bureau of China.
During the Spring Festival holiday, courier services companies, such as EMS, SF Express, JD Logistics, STO Express and Yunda Express, are still operating, and the number of employees in the entire industry is expected to exceed 1 million in service.
During the staycation initiative for this year's Spring Festival holidays, online shopping has become the major choice of more people who want to purchase nianhuo, or Spring Festival goods. Meanwhile, those who stay in place are sending parcels to their relatives and friends at home. As a result, the demand for express delivery surged.
