BEIJING - Starting from Friday, films from Central and Eastern European countries are available to Chinese audience both via TV and in cinemas, reported China Film News.

For five days, selected movies, including "On the Milky Road" from Serbia and "Jacob, Mimmi and the Talking Dogs" co-produced by Latvia and Poland, will be played on CCTV-6, the movie channel of China's state broadcaster.

Hungarian historical drama "Sunset" will hit Chinese big screens on Feb 9, followed by more films produced by countries from Central and Eastern Europe.

People-to-people connectivity and mutual learning between China and Central and Eastern European countries will be enhanced through exchanges in the film industry, said an official with the China Film Administration, organizer of the program.
