Chongqing, Japan's Mito city hold video conference on garbage sorting

Chongqing – A videoconference on waste classification was held between Southwest China's Chongqing city and Japan's Mito city on Wednesday, with government officials from both sides discussing and exchanging waste classification experiences via the Zoom videoconferencing platform.

The videoconference was part of the continued efforts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of establishing friendship-city relations between Mito and Chongqing.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Wang Wen, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office (MFAO), and consists of district government officials from Jiulongpo, Tongliang Chengkou, representatives from relevant enterprises, and some other MFAO officials.

While the Japanese delegation was led by Koichi Kawakami, director of the Municipal Citizen Collaboration Department, and Toshiyuki Sato, director of the Municipal Living Environment Department, with a dozen section chiefs under the two departments talking about various related topics on waste classification.
