Seaweed bungalows, unique indigenous residences found in Rongcheng, Weihai, East China's Shandong province, were recently featured in a documentary film on Shenzhen TV. The houses, the oldest of which dates back to more than 300 years ago, are made from dried seaweed which grows in the shallow waters along the coast of the Jiaodong Peninsula.
