According to statistics, the number of people living in poverty in the autonomous region decreased from 1.57 million in 2013 to 16,000 in 2019, and the incidence of poverty dropped from 11.7 percent to 0.11 percent.

This year, all 57 poverty-stricken banners and counties and 3,681 impoverished villages in the autonomous region have all been lifted out of poverty, and 802,000 people have shaken off poverty.

Inner Mongolia has implemented poverty alleviation relocation plans in places with poor ecological conditions, relocating a total of 124,900 impoverished people.

Meanwhile, Inner Mongolia has subsidized 10,000 yuan per person per year for students from poverty-stricken families who have been admitted to colleges and universities and offered an annual subsidy of 3,000 yuan for each student admitted to vocational training schools.

Additionally, 403,000 impoverished people in Inner Mongolia have been included in the minimum living security system, and 15,000 have been registered as extremely poor.

Around 190,000 poverty-stricken households who were impoverished due to illness were lifted out of poverty under the basic health guarantee policy.
