Doraemon exhibition promises joy to children

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Japanese manga series Doraemon, a Doraemon-themed exhibition was launched in Beijing's Chaoyang Joy City on Friday.

The cartoon fans can find Doraemon sitting in a mountain cable car or enjoying in a hot spring, which will immerse the audience into a world of ice and snow with Doraemon.

It's the third time that a Doraemon-themed exhibition is held in Chaoyang Joy City after Doraemon's birthday celebrations in 2012 and Doraemon's secret props exhibition in 2014.

A pop-up store selling some limited editions of Doraemon's peripheral products has opened in the shopping mall.

The exhibition will last until Jan 24.
