Main poster for Hainan film festival unveiled to public

The third Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) released its main poster on Nov 28 in Sanya.

The poster features the Sanya Jinmujiao Lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Hainan Island as its central element, with special artistic effects of light beams added to convey warmth and hope to the world.

The year 2020 is so special, as people everywhere have faced tremendous challenges and tests, including the film industry, according to organizers of the film festival when introducing the poster.

Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, the third HIIFF hopes to spread warmth, hope, confidence, and strength to the world, organizers added.

The lighthouse also signifies that the Hainan Free Trade Port, as a new hub of China's reform and opening up, will illuminate the way of reform and move towards a better future.
